It's not so much a skill as it is imagination I have seen a lot of people do a lot better than me. It's about patience my clips are usually set in 5 minute increments because I am too lazy to break them into smaller clips and add them together. Just get a decent video editing app on your phone/computer and it's easy just cut and paste and make sure that you have hard drive space because it can fill up pretty quickly. Just keep in mind the picture(video) that you would want to see and don't stop until you make it a reality.
